Overview

Achieving net-zero concrete requires innovation and the development of new knowledge related to sustainable concrete mix design, new engineering design, and enhanced asset management to achieve full infrastructure life-cycle sustainability. The SmartCrete Cooperative Research Centre, now in its fifth year of operation, has a diverse portfolio of collaborative research projects that deliver innovation across its focus areas.

CEO Clare Tubolets will discuss progress to date and provide an overview of the broader market barriers identified in the delivery of the SmartCrete program that need to be addressed if Australia is to achieve its Net-Zero targets.
