Overview
Join the ICE East Midlands Lincolnshire Branch for a presentation on the legal requirements relating to social value, and the practical approaches being used by the Lincolnshire Highways Partnership to meet the legislative requirements.
Social value is defined by the UK Government through the Public Services (Social Value) Act (2013) which requires all public sector organisations and their suppliers to look beyond the financial cost of a contract to consider how the services they commission and procure can improve the economic, social and environmental wellbeing of an area.
This presentation will highlight the important work being done in delivering meaningful social value by the Lincolnshire Highways Partnership consisting of Lincolnshire County Council, WSP, Balfour Beatty and Colas, together with examples from other frameworks used by the Council.
