Overview

The St Austell to A30 link road in Cornwall will connect the old A30 near Victoria to the north and the A391 at Stenalees roundabout to the south.

The scheme includes a new 3.9 mile stretch of single carriageway, four new roundabouts, two bridges and a number of other civil engineering features.

Once completed, it will become an important link bringing benefits to the area including improved economic growth by upgrading links to St Austell and making it easier to get to Cornwall’s growing employment sites.

On behalf of the client, Cornwall Council, the principal contractor, Alun Griffiths has been constructing the new road since July 2022 with anticipated opening in late May 2025.

This site visit is an opportunity for a pre-opening tour to see the final stages of construction and discuss this complex and multi-faceted scheme.

Attendees must wear their own full PPE including safety helmet, safety glasses, gloves, long-sleeved high visibility top and trousers.

Parking is available. The site is unsuitable for wheelchair users.
