Overview

The Harding Prize competition is named in honour of Sir Harold Harding, the founding chairman of the BTS. The competition is open to young engineers aged 33 or under. An original paper submitted for the competition must address aspects of tunnelling that are considered of interest to the tunnelling industry, with the winning paper selected by a judging panel.

The following 2 finalists will present their papers:

Chris Prince - Innovation sustainability – water treatment in tunnelling drawn from experiences of recycling water whilst constructing the Chiltern Tunnels.

Sidhant Kaul - TBM transition through Kidbrooke Shaft, engineering challenges and solutions in the London Power Tunnels Phase 2 Project.

Following the lecture, there will be a networking session, with food and drinks sponsored by Tunnelcraft at the ICE Kendal's Cafe.
