Overview
The Ribblesdale cement works is operated by Heidelberg Materials. The plant was set up in 1936 and produces 1.3million tonnes of cement each year.
Join us on this visit and find out how Heidelberg produce the cements used in many of our civil engineering structures. Heidelberg will share insights into the new ternary cements to the updated BS8500 and also the measures they are taking to reduce carbon in the cement production process.
A hi vis long sleeved top and full-length trousers, hard hat, safety glasses, safety boots and gloves are required. Also, earplugs/ear defenders will be required if we visit the milling area.
Numbers are limited to 15 people.
