housing development

About this event

Housing demand is increasingly high. In response to this, in the Autumn Budget 2017, the Chancellor set a target of delivering 300,000 additional homes a year by the mid-2020s. Civil engineering professionals have a role to ensure that their activities reduce disruptions to local communities. However, what does that mean for our infrastructure?

Panel members from Hampshire County Council, Homes & Communities Agency, Southern Water and Highways England will answer questions from the audience on the impacts of major housing developments on hospitals, schools, roads and utilities to ensure that it is fit for current and future challenges.

The event will be hosted by Antony Oliver, an independent editorial consultant and a former editor of Infrastructure and Intelligence and New Civil Engineer magazines.

We welcome your questions for the panel. Please send them in advance to anne.qualters@ice.org.uk
