Overview
City Quays 3 is a 16-storey office development, the latest phase of the prestigious City Quays scheme in Belfast Harbour. The building is being constructed on a challenging site between the completed City Quays 2 office building and the AC Marriott Hotel. Doran Consulting was the civil and structural designer for the scheme, working with WH Stephens, RPP architects and JCP Consulting.
Following the preparation of initial proposals, the design was developed further in conjunction with the appointed contractor, Farrans Construction, through an Early Contractor Involvement process. The input of Farrans and their subcontractors had a significant influence on the approach to superstructure and cladding in particular.
Construction started in March 2019 and is due to be complete in November 2021.
