Event organised by ICE
How can people and places be better protected from increasing risks of climate change, rising sea levels and flooding?
ICE Nottingham, Leicester, Derby (NLD) branch and guest speaker, Dr David Cobby will take a closer look at the Broadland Futures Initiative (BFI) and the plans being implemented to embed climate adaptation into flood risk management.
The Initiative is made up of public consultation responses, extensive technical studies, legislation and guidance.
BFI is a partnership for future flood risk management in the Broadland area. The main goal of the partnership is to agree on future flood risk management that better copes with changing climate and rising sea levels, producing a plan defining flood risk management policy and actions.
