Overview
This event is aimed at 16 to 18 year-olds who’re thinking about future education and career options. We’ll introduce you to an exciting profession that will allow you to literally shape the world we live in, tackle global problems and use new technologies.
Civil engineers transform lives by designing and building the structures, networks and services that we all rely on; giving us clean water; energy when we need it; better, safer homes and workplaces; and faster, greener transport.
Civil engineers are also at the forefront of meeting the world’s biggest challenges, such as climate change, so if saving the planet is important to you, this could be the career for you!
Your journey to becoming a civil engineer starts right now and there are many different routes to take – whether you’re currently waiting for GCSE results or already studying A-levels or similar qualifications at school or college.
Join us to find out about becoming a civil engineer from civil engineers themselves.
They’ll explain what they do, what they love about it, how they got started and what you need to do to follow in their footsteps.
This free online event will cover:
- Civil engineering in the world around us
