Get the latest update on the TfN strategy, straight from the people who are implementing it.
A talk from Transport from the North’s Peter Cole and Simon McGlone on their current strategy.
Following approval from Parliament, TfN became England’s first Sub-national Transport Body in April 2018. TfN empowers the North to clearly communicate to Government its investment priorities. It also formalises our relationship with the likes of Network Rail and Highways England so they can inform their investment programmes based on the will of communities, passengers, businesses and decision-makers across the region.
This represents unprecedented devolution of power from Central Government to all corners of the North, allowing TfN to set its own agenda and work together to deliver a step-change in connectivity.
Peter and Simon will be discussing some of the step-changes TfN have included within their strategy including topics such as a pan northern electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure framework.
This event is organised and hosted by ICE Manchester branch.
