Overview
The Green Urbanisation and Resilience from the Roof to the Road - Synthesising Engineering and Landscape Architect's Requirements webinar is brought to you by ICE East Midlands.
Charlotte Markey, Green Urbanisation Innovation Manager at Polypipe Civils, will cover Green and Blue Infrastructure and the use of source control SuDS (sustainable drainage systems) and passive irrigation technologies, as well as smart technology being used to deliver truly long-term projects that require less above ground irrigation and use of potable water.
The event will also cover Blue Roofs - engineering for multifunctionality and integrating SuDS into highway schemes and working with below ground constraints.
Charlotte will cover innovations that ensure tree pits, raingardens, parklets and other engineered approaches to greening our linear assets can also be SuDS features that deliver the structural and load bearing requirements for the engineering community. She will discuss Blue Green Cities as connected green and blue engineering, using below ground solutions to create a smart urban green and blue network that is low maintenance and sustainable long term.
