Overview
Engineering Sustainable Futures
The ICE Graduate and Student Conference is the final event in this year’s programme and is a great opportunity to hear from an impressive list of speakers exploring this year’s theme of Engineering Sustainable Futures.
Sustainability is defined as ‘meeting the needs of here and now without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs’. We will unpack this theme and learn how it is linked to the path to Net-Zero Carbon and how we as civil engineers can help contribute to this.
We will also hear about some best practice engineering projects and active travel initiatives which have sustainability at their core, as well a showcase from VU.CITY software, which enables city planners and engineers make better decisions in planning for the future.
This conference is open to ICE Student members, ICE Graduate members, and ICE Members progressing on an apprenticeship. Members from all around the world are welcome.
