Keith Jones FICE

Keith is a Chartered Civil Engineer, Chartered Environmentalist and Fellow of ICE. He has been in post since May 2008, prior to this he was Operational Manager Highways at the Vale of Glamorgan Council, responsible for all highway maintenance operations including management of the DSO contracting unit as well as Environmental Manager for the Council.

Keith was in Local Government from 1967 to 2008 holding a range of posts involving engineering, highways, infrastructure and drainage. Former Chairman of the County Surveyors Society Wales Engineering Committee and member of the UK Roads Board, advising Government on Highways issues.

He is a member of the Cross Party Groups on STEMM and Construction and Industrial Liaison Boards at Cardiff University and Swansea University.

Emma Antrobus

Emma has been the North West Director of ICE since July 2018, overseeing the activity and budgeting for more than 6,500 members in the region. ICE has more than 95,000 members across the world in all sectors of engineering including transport, housing, development, energy and water.

Having done a business with manufacturing degree, Emma has spent most of her career working with and supporting businesses in all sectors towards improvement and change, with a focus on the engagement with and understanding of policy focusing on infrastructure projects including rebuilding Manchester city centre following the 1996 bomb, Northern Hub and HS2.

Ben Wernick CEng FICE

After graduation, Ben joined the British Army and commissioned into the Corp of Royal Engineers, during 14 years of service, he completed three operational tours of Afghanistan, and led infrastructure projects in the Falklands Islands and in Kenya. Ben retired as a Major in April 2016.

On completion of a military career, he started his second career within the Wernick Group. The company was started by Ben’s great grandad, Samuel Wernick, a Polish Jew, who came over to the UK at the turn of the 20th Century. The company started from humble beginnings and is now the largest independent modular company within the UK.

Ben read Civil Engineering at Surrey University, and during his military career completed an MSc in Military Engineering, he is also a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers

Ben is married to Claire, and they have three young daughters. In his spare time (0500-0645) Ben a competitive ultra-marathon runner can be found planning his days whilst running up and down the local hills.
