Overview
ICE’s 2020 State of the Nation report examined the contribution of the UK’s infrastructure systems to achieving net zero by 2050 and recommended a series of policy solutions to help overcome the challenges of meeting our carbon emissions targets.
These recommendations included ‘engaging the public to act’, and this year’s SoN evidence-gathering activities and report will build on SoN 2020’s recommendations by exploring HOW civil engineers can contribute to the reduction of carbon emissions in the built environment. This workshop is your opportunity to contribute successful civil engineering solutions that enable low carbon choices for society. The report will bring together effective tools and practical examples that influence behaviour (society, clients, the supply chain, ourselves) to reach net zero.
