About this event

Sirius Minerals Plc is a publicly listed company on the London Stock Exchange AIM market and aims to become a work leading producer of multi-nutrient fertilizer. The company's primary focus is the development of its North Yorkshire polyhalite project in the United Kingdom which is the largest private sector capital investment in the North.

The Project will consist of a new mine located 3.5km south of Whitby which will extract the polyhalite, a 37km underground mineral transport system that will convey the ore north-west to the Project's granulation facility at the Wilton International site at Teesside and a new export quay nearby on the River Tees.

Construction has now commenced and this presentation will cover:

  • Introduction to Sirius Minerals and the North Yorkshire Polyhalite Project
  • Work carried out to date, the technical challenges faces by carrying out such a large development within a National Park
  • Current and upcoming activities and associated technical challenges
