About this event

ICE Wales Cymru Municipal Engineering Group (MEG) have organised this event.

AGM items will cover the MEG Annual Report, Installation of Chairman and Committee, draft programme of events 2016-17, explanation of Cardiff Waste Recovery design and operation.

PPE is required for the site visit - sturdy footwear is essential, e.g. boots or shoes with good soles, all visitors must also wear long sleeves and have legs covered.

This is a state of the art energy recovery facility opened in 2015. Originally planned for the Prosiect Gwyrdd / Project Green - a partnership between, Caerphilly Borough County Council, The County Council of the City and County of Cardiff, Monmouthshire County Council, Newport Council and Vale of Glamorgan Council. The combined municipal waste of the five authorities makes up 40% of the total municipal waste of Wales.

A maximum of 20 places are available for the site visit.
This is a free event but numbers are limited so booking is essential.
