About this event

In January 2017 Poole Harbour Commissioners commenced the construction of a new quay to increase the Port's capacity for conventional cargoes, and to facilitate the ever increasing interest from cruise ships wishing to visit Poole and the surrounding area.

The quay will be 200m long x 40m wide, and is being constructed through reclamation on the South Eastern corner of the Port. BAM Nuttall is the Main Contractor and works are on track for completion early in 2018.

The visit will commence with a short presentation by Bam Nuttall at the Harbour office, after which there will be a short walk to the site.

Car parking is available at the Harbour Office. On arrival attendees should report to reception to collect a parking permit.

PPE will be required for this site visit. Please advise Natalie Wills of your car registration in advance, and by Tuesday 19 September at the latest.

Numbers restricted to 15. Please ensure your availability to attend prior to booking, as previous site visits have had non-attendees. If you do have to cancel last minute, let us know immediately as we will hold a reservations list for cancellations.
