What does the future hold for Britain's railways?

About this event

The Midland branch of the Railway Civil Engineer Association is thrilled to welcome Sir Peter Hendy CBE to Birmingham this April to share his perspective on what lies in store for the UK's railway. Sir Peter will be talking about the importance of our rail infrastructure to the UK in the modern day and the challenges faced in operating in the modern environment. He will also explore the future developments expected in the industry, including the Digital Railway.

We look forward to his frank and honest perspective on the industry today, noting the significant reforms and achievements of Network Rail in recent years, while calling for the industry to keep up the pace of change and look forward to the railways of the 2020's, as we head into CP6. We look forward to seeing you there for what will be an exciting, informative and interesting evening.

Please join us afterwards for complementary refreshments courtesy of our event sponsors and book early to avoid disappointment. Please notify us if you have limited mobility and we will ensure that adjustments are accommodated.
