About this event

The Kelpies are the world's largest equine sculpture and since their opening in April 2014 they have become one of Scotland's most well-known and visited landmarks.

Tim Burton from SH Structures will tell the fascinating story of the Kelpies from conception through their design, manufacture and installation.

Tim Burton

Tim Burton is Sales & Marketing Manager at specialist steelwork fabricator SH Structures. Tim has 37 years of experience in steel construction working on projects both in the UK and Overseas. His career has seen him work on structures ranging from offshore oil platforms, high rise buildings, including London's Canary Wharf Tower and major bridge projects such as the Tsing Ma suspension bridge in Hong Kong.

Established in 1992 SH Structures have an enormously diverse portfolio of projects ranging from the restoration of the historic Cutty Sark to the building of the Kelpies artwork in Scotland.
