About this event

An examination of the history of the Leeds & Liverpool Canal and its influence on Liverpool over 200 years.

Speaker: Mike Clark
Experience: Professional industrial and canal historian and restoration engineer. Best known for his work on the history and heritage of the L&L Canal. President of the L&L Canal Society.

President of the Railway and Canal Historical Society 2016-2018, Panel Member for Historic Engineering Works. Author of the definitive book on the canal "The Leeds & Liverpool Canal's History" 2nd edition 2016.

Nearest train stations are Liverpool Lime Street / Moorfields. Nearest car parks are under Dale Street flyover, behind Liverpool Central library.

Complimentary buffet and tea/coffee will be served from 18:00. The meeting itself will commence at 18:30, finishing by 20:00 approx.
