About this event

Join us on this free, expert-guided tour of one of Liverpool's Tunnels.

This engineering masterpiece was commissioned in 1936 and 80 years since is still in operation. The tour will take you under one of the Ventilation Buildings and explain how the tunnel was built and how it operates. You will also get an exclusive opportunity to have a look at the Tunnel Control Room, Emergency Escape Refuges and under the Tunnel Road surface (Merseytravel, 2011).

This event is a guided tour by Merseytravel of the Liverpool tunnels. Attendees will be accompanied down the road tunnels and see how they operate and maintain the tunnels.

Please arrive in time for a 17.30pm to 20.00pm

Hi-vis jacket and hard hat are required.

Places are limited and booking is essential.
