About this event

The Thomas Telford Trophy is ICE's premier golf event, contested between teams from ICE's UK regions. The first Thomas Telford Trophy was held at Wentworth Golf Club in 1986, when Sir William Francis, then chairman of the Civil Engineers' Club and of Thomas Telford Ltd, presented the cup to the winning Yorkshire team.

This year's tournament will be held on 18 September 2017 at Pannal Golf Club in Harrogate.

Generally recognised as one of the premier golf courses in the North of England, Pannal Golf Club is a tree-lined heathland championship golf course measuring 6614 yards with a SSS and par of 72. Superb views enhance the golf course, with Almscliffe Crag to the West, the Crimple Valley and viaduct to the North, and the rolling plains of York to the East. Pannal is the only course in Harrogate and North Yorkshire recognised by the R&A as an Open qualifier venue and in July 2015 co-hosted the English Amateur Championship.
