Overview

Anglian Water was formed 50 years ago via The 1973 Water Act.

The speaker will give a potted history of the latter years from privatisation under the Water Act 1989 from a regional perspective but with reference to Peterborough.

The speaker, a retired Anglian Water Engineer, will talk about the development of capital delivery within the Water Company from the time just prior to privatisation and describe the major infrastructure improvements which have been undertaken during that second 25 year period with particular reference to the evolution of the capital delivery method.

This event follows the earlier event of 23 April 2025 that covered the years pre-privatisation.
