Overview

The Building Safety Act became law in 2022. It followed the Hackitt Review set up in response to Grenfell Tower fire disaster in June 2017, which claimed the lives of 72 people.

This talk will provide an overview of the act and an update on recent changes across the UK's building safety legislation.

Join Sebastian, Sian and Lianne from law firm, Ashfords for an informative presentation, including relevant case studies, covering:

  • The Building Safety Act and changes to the Building Regulations
  • Defective Premises Act and Building Liability Orders
  • Construction case law update

This event, organised by the ICE Plymouth City Club, will provide you with an introduction to building safety legislation and an opportunity for networking.
