Overview

ICE HKA G&S is jointly organising a webinar on the utilisation of blockchain in construction workflows with the Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA), Hong Kong Institute of Construction Managers (HKICM), the Hong Kong Institute of Civil and Building Information Management (HKICBIM), the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, Building Division (HKIE BUD), the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors, Quantity Surveying Division (HKIS QSD).

This webinar offers participants the opportunity to explore how blockchain technology is transforming construction workflows. Attendees will gain insights into the differences between public and permissioned blockchains and learn about the benefits of blockchain for secure collaboration. The webinar will demonstrate how blockchain integrates into digital workflows, enhances Building Information Modeling (BIM), and supports the creation of an ideal ecosystem for a unified Common Data Environment.

The event will address pain points in traditional construction workflows and feature real-world applications, including a case study from the Drainage Services Department Blockchain Web Portal. Topics such as blockchain system architecture, permission management, secure data handling, and multi-party workflow integration will also be discussed.

In addition, participants will have the chance to clarify misconceptions about blockchain, explore future improvements, and engage with industry experts during a Q&A session. This webinar is a must-attend for anyone interested in the future of construction technology.
