Specific note:

• The registration fee includes camp fees, rental cost of necessary equipment (e.g. cookset) and cost of meals (i.e. dinner and breakfast), with the latter two cost items being shared by participants.
• Participants who wish not to share the cost of meals could request a reduced registration rate for the event. Consequently, they are required to prepare their meal options on their own.
• Basic camping equipment including tents (one tent for three to four persons) and mats are available for free at the Centre. However, participants are still encouraged to bring their own camping equipment for better camping experience.
• Other camping equipment, including sleeping bags, bedsheets, lighting equipment, shall be prepared on your own if needed. An advised camping checklist will be provided in the succeeding confirmation email.
• Scheduled shuttle buses are provided to take campers to and from the Sai Kung Tang Shiu Kin Sports Ground and Chong Hing Water Sports Centre.
• Participants are required to notify our PIC if they decide to stay behind or leave early for the event.

General note:

• Registration will be confirmed on a first-come-first-served basis, with priority given to ICE HKA G&S members.
• Only successful applicants will receive confirmation emails, including the payment method. Once confirmed, payment is non-refundable.
• The venue has purchased third-party insurance but does not include accidental insurance. It is recommended that additional insurance be taken out if necessary.
• The event will be conducted primarily in Cantonese. English instruction is available upon request.
• Attendance certificates will be provided after two weeks of the event only if attendees attend the whole event.
• The above is subject to change without prior notice.

Adverse weather arrangements

• If the tropical cyclone warning signal no.1 or above or the red/black rainstorm warning is in force at 07.00, all tent camp activities of the day will be cancelled.
• If the weather becomes adverse during activity period, the Centre will have the sole discretion to decide whether the Centre will remain open to campers. The Centre will arrange campers to leave the Centre under safe conditions.
• If the Hong Kong Observatory announces that a thunderstorm warning is in force, campers should report to the Centre. Subject to local weather conditions, the Centre will decide whether the camp activities of the day should be suspended.

The Institution of Civil Engineers (Hong Kong Association) shall not under any circumstances be liable or otherwise for death or any injury or for any damage to or loss or destruction of property or otherwise, in any such case arising from any accident or mishap, and whether during or after this event, in preparation for it, traveling to or from it or otherwise.
