Book now‘Pay when paid’ issues and disputes arising from delayed payment have long existed in Hong Kong's construction industry. Due to lengthy dispute resolution procedures, the industry has witnessed adversarial working relationships and unhealthy cash flow throughout the supply chain.
To ensure that project stakeholders are paid in a timely manner, the Construction Industry Security of Payment Ordinance was officially passed and will come into effect in August 2025. The Ordinance would enhance contractual payment terms, dispute resolution mechanisms, and privileges for unpaid parties.
ICE HKA G&S and YEAHK will co-organise the joint webinar on the Construction Industry Security of Payment Ordinance. Experienced specialists in dispute resolution and project management will provide an overview of the new legislation, as well as discuss its benefits and impact on the construction industry.
