HKA G&S: joint society company visit to Mott MacDonald Hong Kong Limited

Overview

Company visit and career workshop is an exciting initiative that aims to equip civil engineering students with skills and knowledge for successful job hunting and to bridge the gap between aspiring civil engineers and industry professionals. 

Through engaging presentations, discussions on industry trends, and interactive sessions with experienced engineers, students will gain practical insights into the daily operations of an engineering firm, project management, innovative technologies, and sustainability practices. This event could inspire university students with a firsthand understanding of how a reputable civil engineering firm operates.

Notes:

• Registration will be confirmed on a first-come-first-served basis, with priority given to Student Members. Only successful applicants will be notified.
• The event will be conducted primarily in Cantonese, and English terms will be introduced where appropriate.
• Attendance certificates will be provided within two weeks of the event only if attendees participate for the entire duration of the event.
• Applicants with no-show records will be given lower priority in future G&S events.

Adverse weather arrangement

• The event will be cancelled or rescheduled to another date in case a black rainstorm signal or typhoon signal no. 8 or above is issued by the Hong Kong Observatory at or after 14.00. The organiser reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the event in view of safety or other considerations.
• The event will still be carried out in the case of amber or red rainstorm signal, or typhoon signal no. 3 is issued by the Hong Kong Observatory at or after 14.00. Meanwhile, the rundown of the event will be slightly changed.
