Overview

Join Technician Fellows and other senior experts for a collaborative online roundtable discussion on the real-world challenges of project delivery.

Prompted by the ICE Green Paper consultation, “Why Do Major Infrastructure Projects Cost So Much and Take So Long?”, this inaugural fellow's breakfast invites technicians to explore everyday issues, from compliance and constructability to delivery delays, and the mixed impact of digital tools.

We’ll share stories, compare experiences, and consider submitting a technician-led response to ICE’s national consultation, highlighting how technician insight can shape how infrastructure is planned, scoped, and delivered.

This roundtable also builds connections among senior technicians, creating a space for shared learning and influence within the ICE and across the wider industry.

The local Thames Valley ICE branch is hosting a Fellows Breakfast lead by Liam Kimberley and Tom Price, to engage in a conversation about “Why Do Major Infrastructure Projects Cost So Much and Take So Long?”
