We are delighted to announce the prestigious ICE Glasgow & West of Scotland Branch 120th Annual Dinner will take place on Thursday 13th November 2025 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central Hotel.
Guests will be welcomed with a drinks reception in the foyer, ahead of a delicious three course meal being served once seated in the Grand Ballroom.
The evening will be hosted by award-winning comedian, Heart Radio DJ and television presenter, Des Clarke, and feature presentation of the ICE Scotland Awards. Attendees will also hear from guest of honour, ICE President David Porter (2025-26).
Join Branch Chair, Magda Allan, for what is always one of the highlights of the Scottish civil engineering calendar.
Doors to the Grand Ballroom open at 7pm. The event will commence at 7.30pm prompt.
Guests attending as a group are encouraged to buy the most suitable table option.

David Porter
David Porter is the director of engineering at the Department for Infrastructure (DfI), which makes him the chief highways engineer for Northern Ireland.
He is also the head of the civil engineering profession within the Northern Ireland civil service. He’s responsible for the development of the department’s professional and technical staff, engineering policies and standards, and health and safety.
Previously, David was the chief executive of the Rivers Agency, the flood defence and drainage authority for Northern Ireland.
David is a past chair of the Northern Ireland region of the ICE. He’s been on the ICE Council three times: two terms as the Northern Ireland representative, and one as a general member.
