ICE South East England Engineering Excellence Awards ceremony and dinner 2025

Overview

We are thrilled to share the launch of 2025's the ICE South East England Engineering Excellence Awards, a prestigious platform celebrating excellence and innovation in civil engineering. With this distinguished program, ICE aims to recognise and honour outstanding projects, visionary individuals, and collaborative teams that have significantly contributed to the advancement of the industry. 

The awards ceremony will be an evening of recognition and celebration - bringing together industry leaders, innovators, and influencers to honour the exceptional contributions to civil engineering. 

The awards span across nine categories, namely:

• Best infrastructure project – Small (under £5m) will celebrate projects that have impactful features and benefit the community, while addressing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
• Best infrastructure project – Large (over £5m) will celebrate projects that have impactful features and benefit the community, while addressing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
• Best project – Innovation will reward ground-breaking developments in products, materials and ways of working which changes future practices.
• Best project – Sustainability will highlight projects that integrates sustainable practices throughout its lifecycle, including its environmental, social, and economic aspects.
• Best project -  Asset maintenance will highlight project's effectiveness in preserving infrastructure, ensuring safety, optimising efficiency, and its contribution to the long-term sustainability of the asset.
• Team of the year award will recognise teams that have collaborated and showcased excellence in project management.
• STEM Ambassador of the year award will celebrate professionals who has showcased excellence as a STEM Ambassador.
• Rising star of the year will honour individuals who have demonstrated integrity and professionalism in their employment and voluntary activities.
• Mentor of the year will appreciate a mentor who has guided and supported their mentees, along with their impact on professional growth and contributions to the wider community.

The dinner is taking place on Wednesday 21 May 2025 at the Harbour Hotel, Southampton, where we will be joined by the ICE President.
