Overview

Held in celebration of International Women in Engineering Day (INWED) 2025, this special event in Belfast invites early-career and mid-career professionals, as well as supportive colleagues and allies, to connect, reflect, and explore what it means to engineer with purpose.

Hosted at Jacobs’ Belfast office, the session will feature a series of short, impactful talks from industry voices on topics such as sustainability, digital innovation, flexible working, and personal and professional growth. Attendees will hear real stories of challenge, change, and leadership from within Northern Ireland’s engineering community.

The event will include interactive discussions focusing on themes such as work-life integration, building confidence, navigating conflict, and shaping inclusive workplace cultures. Participants will be encouraged to consider their personal motivations and how they contribute to a more equitable and forward-thinking engineering profession.

The session will close with a call to action and an opportunity to continue conversations beyond the event. Designed to be both uplifting and thought-provoking, this is a chance to network, celebrate, and feel inspired to find your ‘why’ in engineering.
