Book nowAs climate change intensifies, extreme weather events, heavy rainfall, and urban flooding are becoming more frequent. Sustainable drainage systems (SuDS) offer a nature-based solution to manage water effectively, reduce flood risks, and enhance urban resilience.
By integrating sustainable drainage into urban planning and infrastructure, communities can build resilience against climate change while promoting environmental sustainability. Implementing SuDS requires collaboration between policymakers, engineers, developers, and local communities to create effective, long-term solutions.
Embracing sustainable drainage is essential for future-proofing cities and protecting people, property, and ecosystems from the growing threats of climate change.
This presentation will showcase case studies outlining engineering challenges faced and the types of benefits that have been achieved.
This in person event will be hosted by ECNet and EI Northern Region.
