The Institution of Civil Engineers will be hosting the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) for an insightful presentation and engaging discussion on the highly regarded Report Card for America’s Infrastructure.
PAS 2080 and BSI Flex 350 decarbonisation standards can help to reduce infrastructure projects’ greenhouse gas emissions through intelligent design, stakeholder collaboration & the use of lower-carbon materials. We'll explore the Lower Thames Crossing as a case study.
Showcasing the outcomes of a collaboration between Cardiff University, St John the Evangelist, the University of Genoa, and LUSAS. We will present the findings of a case study on climate change-induced subsidence and foster discussion to highlight the urgent need for adaptation planning.
Further to the delegation to Japan and South Africa by ICE HKA G&S in January 2025 and July 2025 respectively, delegates will share their takeaways from the tour.
G&S will be visiting the City Gallery. The tour will showcase notable achievements in urban planning while fostering discussions on sustainable development and community engagement within the context of a vibrant Hong Kong.
Join this session to find out what happens on and how to prepare for the day of your Incorporated Professional Review, Chartered Professional Review or Chartered Professional Review Progressive for civil and infrastructure engineers.
Join us for our Annual General Meeting (AGM) in the 1830 Warehouse at Manchester’s Science and Industry Museum. After the AGM, hear from ICE director general Janet Young about the ICE strategy, and museum staff about their multi-million-pound restoration programme.
This event will highlight the critical role of PAS 2080: Carbon Management in Buildings and Infrastructure in driving global decarbonisation efforts.
NEC’s options X29 is called ‘Climate change’ and allows a client to set targets for anything. And so, despite its name it can be used to set targets for eg things affecting operational cost or even ‘social value’
This is a series of events for Technicians who are interested in becoming members (EngTech MICE/FICE). We gather to discuss the ways we can help ourselves, each other and the ICE to provide ongoing learning and experience in civil engineering.
Of particular interest to those preparing for their IEng professional review.
Join a guided site tour of the A164 and Jocks Lodge improvement scheme. Representatives from East Riding of Yorkshire Council and Graham Construction will provide you with key insights into the £87m scheme.
