About this event

Winchester flood alleviation is an £850,000 scheme in Winchester to protect the town from a repeat of the flooding in 2000 and 2014. The scheme is funded by Hampshire County Council, Winchester City Council, University of Southampton, and the Environment Agency and focuses on the area around North Walls and Park Avenue including St Bede School and The Art College.

The event will comprise of a talk on the project followed by a site tour to see progress to date and current operations.

Minimum PPE is boots, hard hat, hi-vis jacket. Places are limited due to site constraints.
