    The Scalpel is a commercial skyscraper which upon completion will be approximately 190m tall, with 35 floors of offices above ground and an additional two basement and two roof plant levels. The tower will provide approximately 400,000 sq. ft. of office accommodation. Estimated completion is late 2017.

    The works include construction of an interchange with four viaducts near Kiu Tau, Fanling for the connecting road to the Boundary Control Point, widening of a section of the Fanling Highway of about 1 km long near the interchange, demolition of the existing Kiu Tau Vehicular Bridge, re-provisioning of the existing Kiu Tau Footbridge, realignment of the existing Tai Wo Service Road West and Tai Wo Service Road East, and associated slope, drainage, sewerage, water, and landscape works.
