Since 1821, our pioneering research and education has made a positive impact on the global stage.
The ICE wishes to celebrate the successes of those who build infrastructure that is fit for changing environmental and social climates, and who are putting nature and people at the heart of their decision making.
The Resilience Champions initiative seeks to recognize individuals who design infrastructure projects to be resilient, sustainable, and inclusive.
By highlighting the contributions of civil engineers and built environment professionals, this initiative aims to celebrate best practices and share inspiring, replicable solutions, fostering a shift in perception about what excellence looks like.
ICE invites applicants to submit case studies that demonstrate how they have integrated resilience considerations into their projects, schemes, or initiatives.
To achieve Resilience Champions status, applicants must also show their commitment to sustainability and/or inclusivity (full definitions are available in the guidance document).
Successful applicants will have the opportunity to showcase their projects on ICE's website and become part of ICE's expanding sustainability network.

ICE Resilience Champions will highlight our efforts in sustainability, resilience, and inclusivity in projects. Celebrating these examples can inspire others to recognize their potential impact.
Similar to the ICE's Carbon Champions initiative, which shares best practices in carbon reduction, we can demonstrate how engineers influence project direction.
By sharing more examples, we can understand the significant impact we can have, even in the later stages of a project.
ICE Resilience Champions will join a community of leaders dedicated to implementing innovative techniques that enhance the resilience, sustainability, and inclusiveness of our infrastructure.
ICE will develop a database of best practice case studies to inspire more professionals to pursue integrated solutions.
In addition to having their case study featured on the ICE website, Resilience Champions will have opportunities to speak at ICE events, showcasing their pioneering projects to broader audiences.
Successful applicants will demonstrate:
