SCOSS is an independent body established in 1976 to review building and civil engineering matters that affect the safety of structures. The sponsoring bodies are ICE, Institution of Structural Engineers and the Health and Safety Executive.
It was first published in January 2009.
This paper is intended to help those concerned with an agreement between a Client and a Supplier. If the Client wishes to use an independent reviewer, to help identify risks and opportunities for a project, this suggests what should be included in the agreement.
