The academic qualifications you need depend on the level of qualification you are aiming for - Incorporated or Chartered Engineer. You can use our Accredited course search to see what level your qualifications are best suited to. Don't worry if it's not what you were aiming for as there may still be other options for you. Career Appraisal
If you have several years' experience, or more, progression usually involves a Career Appraisal. The Career Appraisal involves a review of your experience to date.
Membership Streamlining has improved the Career Appraisal process. Your Career Appraisal submission now aligns closely with the Professional Review requirements, helping you to progress more quickly, providing a smoother pathway to professional qualification.

As well as the Career Appraisal, there are other options for both experienced engineers and for recent graduates.
