Incoming ICE President Andrew Wyllie has put out the call for 4 Technician or Graduate Members to join him as President’s Future Leaders in the institution’s 200th anniversary year.
He is looking for people that have a vision for change and are currently making their mark in civil engineering.
If you have a great idea that will change the industry for the better, he and ICE will help you take it forward. Like Henry Palmer who, along with James Jones and Joshua Field, recognised the need for a civil engineering institution 200 years ago, you could develop your concept and see it materialise.
The President’s Future Leader scheme is a fantastic opportunity for up and coming engineers and technicians to gain insight into the profession and boost their careers. Successful candidates will work on their concept, attend key institution events, meet senior industry people, be mentored by the President and accompany him on regional visits.
Applicants should submit their CV, a reference from their line manager and a 750 word (max) statement that answers the question: “What do you want to see change, why does it matter, and how can ICE help you make it happen?”
Andrew says: “This is an exceptional opportunity for exceptional people. If you have a vision, drive, and ambition – come and join me.”
The scheme is open to all ICE Technician and Graduate Members working towards professional qualification.
