Entries open for ICE London Civil Engineering Awards 2018

The most prestigious event in London’s civil engineering calendar – the ICE London Civil Engineering Awards – is back and open for entries until 23 February 2018.

ICE London has celebrated engineering excellence in the capital for more than 20 years. To mark ICE 200 ICE London has introduced 8 new categories to reflect individual and team achievements, as well as highlighting key infrastructure projects in London and overseas.

These new awards will recognise top performers in our industry as well as showcasing the most innovative, creative and sustainable contributions to the built environment.

The ICE London Civil Engineering Awards 2018 is being held in association with SNC-Lavalin, one of the world's leading engineering and construction companies, particularly infrastructure.

Professionals from across the built environment are invited to enter the ICE London Civil Engineering Awards in the following categories:

  • Graduate of the Year
  • Apprentice of the Year
  • Technician of the Year
  • Civil Engineer of the Year
  • Innovator of the Year
  • Lifetime Achievement Award
  • Team of the Year
  • Company of the Year
  • Best Infrastructure Project
  • Innovation Award
  • Air Quality Award – supported by the City of London Corporation
  • Award for Community Benefit
  • Award for International Contribution
  • Greatest Contribution to London

Director of ICE London Jonathan Baggs says:

"The ICE London Civil Engineering Awards is the perfect opportunity to acknowledge the great infrastructure being built in London and the people and teams who make it happen. With ICE's 200th anniversary we want to celebrate the industry and show how it can deliver world class infrastructure for future generations of Londoners."

All project entries will also be considered for the Greatest Contribution to London Award. Previous winners include: London Bridge Station, Lee Tunnel, London Overground Capacity Improvement Programme, London 2012 Olympic Park, Heathrow Terminal 5 and Wembley Stadium.

The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Thursday 24 May 2018 ICE headquarters, Westminster. Over 200 of London's professional civil engineering and built environment community will be in attendance.
