ICE Hong Kong Association Graduates and Students Division (ICE HKA G&S) is launching a new competition for schools as part of its annual Shaping Our Future City campaign.

Shaping Our Future City, which ICE HKA started in 2018 to celebrate the institution's 200th anniversary, is a STEM campaign that aims to give secondary school students experience of how civil engineers contribute to Hong Kong's economy and a greener future, through talks and workshops.

The new competition taking place as part of this year's programme is inter-school and scenario-based. Under the theme of 'Energise our city, engineer our victory', students will have the opportunity to work with young engineers to design a sports complex and develop its associated infrastructure, such as transport connections, landscaping and utilities.

This will allow the students to consolidate their STEM knowledge learned at school, develop their creativity, and gain insight into life as a civil engineer.

A prize of HK$5,000 in book vouchers is up for grabs.
