ICE and the British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM) are launching a joint initiative to develop contracting and procurement solutions and services. These are designed to support users and stakeholders throughout the facilities management sector through the NEC4 contract suite.
The aim of the two organisations is to advance good practice in the procurement and management of facilities management.
To start, they will identify the needs and challenges of organisations and individuals working in facilities management. The results of this research and the priority actions will be announced this June at the NEC User's Group Annual Seminar and at the BIFM Smart Client Programme at Facilities Show.
BIFM CEO Linda Hausmanis said: “Pursuing the highest standards in the procurement and management of facilities management services is fundamental to our profession’s advancement and I’m delighted to be deepening our relationship with ICE for the benefit of all our members at this critical time for our industry.”
NEC Contracts Global Head Rekha Thawrani said: “This move for closer collaboration between our organisations represents a good step forward for support in procuring facilities management.”
