Professionally qualified engineer Hannah Vickers (MICE), who has a strong background in strategic policy making and a wealth of experience managing government and industry relationships, is to join ICE as Head of Policy and External Affairs.
She joins on 7 August from the Infrastructure and Projects Authority (IPA). A key part of her role there was to convene government, industry specialists and academia to develop infrastructure best practice and influence government strategy.
Head of Policy sits at the heart of the ICE’s work in influencing and informing governments and decision-makers around the world. Policy work underpins our reputation as the respected, impartial and independent voice of infrastructure.
ICE Director of Communications Pam Wilde said: “Hannah joins us at a challenging and turbulent time for policy makers. Her experience, insight and knowledge of the workings of government will ensure we continue to place infrastructure at the heart of the political and economic debate.”
ICE Director General Nick Baveystock commented: “Hannah brings experience of Whitehall at a critical time for the UK. Her understanding of the Treasury, Cabinet Office and big spending departments will ensure that the industry has the best possible access to decision makers.”
