ICE Members recognised in the Queen’s birthday Honours list

A number of ICE Members were included as Queen’s birthday Honours list was announced.

ICE members received CBE’s, or OBE’s.

Four ICE Fellows were awarded honours. They included Peter Budd CEng FICE, Director Arup & Partners Ltd and Deputy Chairman of the China Britain Business Council who was awarded a CBE for services to promoting British trade in China. Peter chairs the group within Arup which takes responsibility for alliances with Chinese partners.

Professor Haro Dedelian OBE FREng FICE was also awarded a CBE, for services to Engineering and International Trade.

Humphrey Cadoux-Hudson FICE, Managing Director, Nuclear New Build Generation Company Ltd, EDF Energy plc was awarded a CBE for services to Secure Low-Carbon Electricity.

William Gowdy FICE, Director of Engineering Procurement, Northern Ireland Water was awarded an OBE for services to Civil Engineering and Education.

A number of industry figures were also recognised.

Alison Munro, Managing Director, Phase 2, HS2 Ltd was awarded a CBE for services to the Rail Industry.

Terence Scuoler, Chief Executive Officer, Engineering Employers Federation was awarded a CBE for services to Manufacturing and Engineering.

Roger Hargreaves, Director, Hybrid Bill Delivery, High Speed 2 Ltd was awarded an OBE for services to Transport.

Linda Miller, Project Manager, Crossrail was awarded an OBE for services to Engineering and to Promoting Gender Equality.

David Falzani, President, Sainsbury Management Fellows was awarded an MBE for services to Engineering and Enterprise.

Professor Richard Hamilton Taylor, Visiting Professor in Civil Engineering, University of Bristol was awarded an MBE for services to Engineering.
