ICE Talks generates a new platform for our members to raise their profile, creating a human face for engineering and contributing to ICE's knowledge offering. Topics featured in the new round of filming include apprenticeships, digital engineering and the important question of whether or not engineers are romantic.
The talks allow members to tell their stories, share their knowledge and showcase the industry that they love to work in as well as the places that they live. With more than 70 members now featured from across the UK the talks show how every member is different and that not all engineers are the stereotypes that people believe.
During the next 12 months you will hear from members such as Sir William Francis FICE (past-President 1987-88), Dominik McCormick EngTech MICE (our current youngest technician) and Katy Toms CEng MICE (a newly qualified member).
Over the coming weeks you will see ICE Talks pop up on webpages, at events and on social media. The talks will be of use to all members in communicating the importance of civil engineering and all its sectors. Please feel free to use them at career events, evening meetings, or even at networking events.
If you would like to be involved in future filming or having any questions about the current talks, please contact Charlotte Pascoe, Public Relations Executive ICE South West at firstname.lastname@example.org.
