Following a mystery assessment, the newly opened Infrastructure Learning Hub (ILH) has officially been recognised as a Visit England tourist attraction. The ILH which currently hosts ICE's Bridge Engineering Exhibition, was awarded the Quality Rose Marque after receiving a score of 84%.
The assessment scored points not just for the actual exhibition but for the website and publicity brochure design, the arrival at One Great George Street (OGGS) and the customer service. Cleanliness of the building was also included as part of the assessment in addition to the quality of facilities such as the Café Bar.
Nearly 9,000 people have passed through the doors of the exhibition in its first three months. Colleagues at ICE and One Great George Street have worked hard to ensure that an excellent experience is offered to every visitor.
Simon Venn, Knowledge Delivery Manager said
"I am incredibly proud of the entire team who work every day help ensure that the new ILH and Bridge Engineering exhibition continues to impress visitors to ICE and OGGS. The day to day to operations of the exhibition and servicing the needs of 9,000 visitors means there is added pressure across a much wider team ICE Group team including not just the library team but also the stewards, reception and security, cleaners and cloakroom staff, café bar staff and the maintenance team."
Each assessment area passed with flying colours, with Carol Morgan, an ICE employee of over 25 years' service, having been singled out for particular praise, wowing the mystery assessors with her warm welcome, expert knowledge and excellent customer service.
