Kent and East Sussex Branch in South East England get ready for President Tim Broyd’s visit on 28 - 29 June.

Are you an ICE Member in Kent or East Sussex? If so, this is your opportunity to meet President Professor Tim Broyd as he tours the area as part of his regional visit on Wednesday 28 and Thursday 29 June. During the visit Tim Broyd will meet with local civil engineers, decision makers and infrastructure projects to highlight the importance of the industry.

On Wednesday 28 June, the President will take part in a Question Time style event on diversity at MidKent College in Maidstone. A panel of experts will explore why the industry is failing to represent the public it serves and how we change this and create an environment where new communities of people feel welcome and able to thrive.

On Thursday 29 June, to conclude the visit, the President will host a gala reception to celebrate civil engineering ahead of ICE's bicentenary next year. This will be a great opportunity to network with other civil engineers and to hear from the President and local decision makers about why infrastructure is so important to Kent. The reception will take place at the Doubletree by Hilton Dartford Bridge.
