North West Civil Engineering Awards 2017 winners announced

Showcasing the best in civil engineering, the ICE North West Civil Engineering Awards saw a range of projects and individuals recognised for their achievements across the region.

Presented by ICE President Tim Broyd, the awards showcase the collective and individual achievements of civil engineers.

ICE North West Regional Chair, John Gatheral said, “We had a truly fantastic response this year with nominations covering a wide range of civil engineering projects, which are already delivering a range of benefits to the region.

“Judging was difficult. We were hard-pressed to single out winners from the many inspiring submissions. My congratulations go to all the nominees involved, and of course the winners, for helping us to showcase our vibrant industry."

Presentations were also made to Lyndon Trinder, United Utilities who is our current ICE North West Emerging Engineer and Sarah Loughrey, Jacobs for her success in the ICE North West Law and Contracts course.

A special award was made to ICE North West Regional Coordinator, Janice Parkinson who received the Garth Watson Medal in recognition of her services to the Institution.
