Lusail City is a major real estate development north of Doha covering 38sqkm. The city will be home to 200,000 residents living on one of the four exclusive man-made islands or in one of the mixed multi-purpose residential areas.
The new city comprises breath-taking buildings and state of the art infrastructure and forms part of the Qatar national vision 2030. This includes an 80,000 capacity stadium for the 2022 FIFA World Cup which will host the opening and final matches.
A site visit with ICE members saw the tunnels, roads and bridges under construction and was organised by Dorsch Qatar geotechnical specialist and ICE Qatar advisory committee member Gul Hameed Khalil and Kevin Dixon from Parsons International.
